have you got the lockers working properly yet?
Still busy with them, got the nr of an ex-Mercedes mechanic in George with his own workshop, specializing in the older cars. will go and have a talk with him...

My time is limited and I don't want to start stripping and then not able to assemble before I have to be at work again,

Have changed the gear linkage rubber bushes yesterday, gear lever so much better, 2 links had no small bushes, so lots of play.

Got the special tools to do the valve adjustment and tackled the valves yesterday. Tools make it quite easy and nearly effortless. Don't know when it was last done, but now they are in spec again.

Some inlets were 15mm+ and some exhausts were less than 30mm and others more than 35mm.
Engine idles much smoother and will take it for a ride in the week, have to replace some of the overflow pipes on the injectors.

Have also checked the timing chain and it's not stretched.

Also waiting for my front shocks. Will fit KYB-445031. Ordered 2x from Midas in George for R1528.00 (both)

16 July 2017 - Snow in the Swartberg near Oudtshoorn ...

My fingers were freezing, snow temp about 6deg C and wind chill felt like -6deg C. Even the camera on my iPad froze and I had to go and sit in the G and wait for it to warm up again.

Took more than an hour with a high-pressure cleaner to get Oupa Hennie cleaned and all the mud out.

19 July 2017 - Most of the snow melted ...

Having some nice hot choc for the cold ...

Looks like a nice trip. I have the same Jeep sticker on the back of my Cabrio ;) Is that a std size Flowbin and did you have to remove your back seats to fit it inside? You gave me an idea.......
