The engine is a few cm³ larger than the 2925 cm³ of the G400d OM656. Not sure whether this is just an uprated OM656 or what?
It still has three diff-locks, and low range, as if we'll ever need that, given the mountainous torque on tap. Speaking of which, I see on a different forum that 4x4 folks don't understand their cars. Torque is the power an engine delivers, and kW is the rate of delivery. As a Watt = 1 Joule per second, indicating kW as a speed indication. Think of 1HZ or OM314, engines that both turn out an avalanche of torque, albeit at a low rate. Try rushing an old 6 cyl Diesel NA Cruiser, or a Mercedes 508D truck. Much torque, it goes on forever. But snails overtake it. And let the physics gurus take this further.
