Anyone know a source for the aftermarket Brake switch as in the picture?
Tried Goldwagen without success. I did not take the sample which could help juggle the mind.
Mine started acting up in Angola and is currently working again after treating with some contact spray.
MB locally want just under R1.7k.

Alan, suggest you determine the thread, then you consult the Echelin Catalogue, should find that online. With high probability you find a match and go to Diesel Electric to ask for the Echelin equivalent.
I was successful with oil pressure switches for old cars.

Tx, guys, think it is Merc specific but certaily not G specific.
I did try Bosch Diesel Electric without luck.
Maybe I should remove and take along as a sample.
If unsuccessful here I will get from overseas which makes it a lot more costly due to shipping unless I order a lot of other stuff with it.

If its for your 300GD ending with VIN ending in 600 then merc no is A0005453509. Hella Part no 6DF 007 366-001. Used in W123, W126 vehicles

It's not that easy. The picture is only a sample. The original is crimped all round

I know, I cut it open with a hacksaw, fixed it and glued it back with epoxy. try it you have got nothing to loose.
